Free Linux drivers are available for most I/O boards.
Linux Driver Support
Our Linux driver support is based mostly on the Red Had Fedora Core distribution releases, as
listed below. For specific information on which kernels are supported, please refer to the Linux
driver manual for the board of interest. If the support listed doesn't cover the kernel version you
are interested in, then please let us know. In most cases an updated driver release can be
generated within a couple days. Sometimes it can be generated the same day.
3.x Kernels: Most of our Linux drivers support the x86 based 3.x series kernels (32-bit and 64-
bit). Significant driver changes are currently tested against 32-bit and 64-bit releases of the
following:
Red Hat Fedora Core 16 (kernel 3.1.0) and later
2.6 Kernels: Most of our Linux drivers support the x86 based 2.6 series kernels (32-bit and 64-
bit). Significant driver changes are currently tested against 32-bit and 64-bit releases of the
following:
Red Hat Fedora Core 3 (kernel 2.6.9) through Fedora Core 15 (2.6.38)
2.4 Kernels: Most of our Linux drivers support the x86 based 2.4 series kernels. Significant
driver changes are currently tested against most of the following:
Red Hat Linux 7.2 (kernel 2.4.7) through Red Hat Linux 9.0 (kernel 2.4.20)
Red Hat Enterprise Linux 3 (kernel 2.4.21)
2.2 Kernels: Most of our Linux drivers support the x86 based 2.2 series kernels. Significant
driver changes are currently tested against the following:
Red Hat Linux 6.2 (kernel 2.2.14)
Additional Testing: While our primary development environment has been the Red Hat
Fedora Core distribution series, other distributions have been tested. This testing is done on an as
requested basis. Additional testing has been done with various versions of the below listed
distributions. If you have questions about driver support for a particular distribution we'll do
what we can to verify support.

Centos
Debian
Suse and Open Suse
